The Josh Fox Myth – A House of Green Paper

Normally I don’t spend much of my time reading blogs (except this one), especially those following articles related to Josh Fox.  Most submitters seemed to be enamored with this purveyor of solar cells as the prevailing winds blow along the global green algae way.  Following the posts is comparable to following a soap opera – you can check in once every six months and get caught up in five minutes.  Nothing much changes.

But something was different yesterday when I happened to check the comments following the May 15 article in the Huffington Post regarding the Gasland sequel.  To my surprise I read comments like “crockamentory,” “propaganda for the green zombies,” “brimming with lies and half truths.” It was the equivalent of a front coming through replacing the hot, humid, suffocating air with air that was cool, light, and refreshing.  The majority of the posts in the liberal paper cast the entertainer in a not so positive light.  Surely that light must have been generated from something fossil!

In the story of “The Three Little Pigs,” the well-made house of bricks was able to withstand the huffing and puffing of the wolf.  In this case, it was facts and science that withstood the huffing and puffing of papers like the Huffington Post and entertaining films like Gasland.

Could it be that others have been to the Wayne County Courthouse besides me and checked out the deed to the Fox property in Milanville, discovering that Josh’s name is not on it?  Or, did they realize that $100,000 offer was a fabrication?  It didn’t take much to blow that house of straw down.

Could it be that the truth has come out about the water situation in Dimock, Pennsylvania?  Trying to milk a cow that turned out to be a bull must have been a big embarrassment to a Manhattan raised boy.  House of sticks.   Pennsylvania DEP and EPA blew that house of sticks down.   Was it four or five times?   I’ve lost track.

Could it be that the hypocrisy of a greenie jetting all over the country and the world has soured some sincere environmentalists?  Check out some of his recent itinerary.

Let’s hope he put his money where his mouth is and took the new electric airplane.  Spreading his own hot air melted this house of wax.  Daedalus and Icarus come to mind.

Could it be his exploitation of the “occupiers,” who rallied for his filming efforts, is now all too obvious considering that his “speaking engagements and grassroots organizing has ‘become a full-time job?’”  It’s capitalism at it’s best isn’t it?  What entrepreneurship he exhibits getting the 99% to work for him for nothing as he climbs his way to the 1%!  Talk about “free” enterprise!  Perhaps, in the end, his house is just a house of paper – green paper.  Is this the green that he is really  reaching for?
